Arnold Schwarzenegger Not Only Backs McCain But signs Important Dog Law In California

The governor signed a pair of bills to better protect pets. Starting next year, pet owners who leave their animals in the car on a warm day may face a fine of up to $500 and as much as six months in jail. SB1806 by Sen. Liz Figueroa, D-Fremont, also authorizes animal control officers to break into a car to rescue a pet in distress if the owner of the vehicle is not found right away.
