Jack Russell Pulls Owner In Wheelchair

He brakes for nothing - except traffic, cats and other interesting smells. Kody the three-year-old Jack Russell has turned out to be the perfect little motor for his owner’s wheelchair. Strapped into a special harness, with his brown ears flapping in the breeze, he takes Alan Smith for walkies every day in Clifton, Nottingham. Mr Smith says his pet hauls the load along at up to 15mph, making for a bone-shaking ride on the rough pavements. The 57-year-old, who had polio as a baby, said: ‘He will stop at the roads and look for traffic. His only downfall is if he sees a cat or another dog - he stops and crouches like a tiger.”
