Sweet Georgia Brown

My dear little Twitter friend Sweet Georgia Brown passed to the other side, she asked me to post this poem for the humans she left behind.

Dear Parents

I just wanted to let you know that I made it home. The journey wasn't an easy one, but it didn't take too long.

Everything is so pretty here, so white, so fresh and new I wish that you could close your eyes and that you could see it too. Please try not to be sad for me. Try to understand God is taking care of me...I'm in the shelter of His hands.

Here there is no sadness, no sorrow, and no pain. Here there is no crying and I'll never hurt again. Here it is so peaceful when all the angels sing. I really have to go for now... I've just got to try my wings.

Thank you so much for that beautiful message. I miss Georgia so much but I know that she is strong and surefooted for the first time ever. She was never able to run, jump or play on earth, but she was the sweetest little dog in the world and we were so happy to have the privilege of caring for her. She was a joy. We love you.

Georgia,
So happy to hear you made it over the Bridge with no troubles. Your mama is sad for now, but she's happy your pain is gone.

You should ask the angels if they need a "yapper" in their choir! Fly high, our little friend.
